Here at TheBraBible.com we are always on the hunt for hot new designers that fit with our line of thinking, and that is that underwear should fit beautifully (and healthily) and make us feel good - inside and out! So, naturally when we got wind of this fabulous, forward-thinking and sustainable new brand - we just had to tell you all about it!
Lara Intimates is a sustainable underwear brand launching in September 2017 and their range will include wired and soft bras, briefs and bodysuits. Every piece is designed in London, made with reclaimed, luxury fabrics and produced in England.
Sizes range from 28A - 36E. Lara's unique 'Find My Size tool' (coming soon so sit tight!) is a step up from confusing online size guides.
When it comes to soft bras, small, medium and large just doesn't cut it. Lara soft bras come in half sizes, so they fit and support you perfectly. We'll take one in every colour please!
10% of all fabric in the fashion industry is wasted on the cutting room floor. The Lara design team saves and shreds every scrap to use as stuffing in a new garment in line with their zero fabric waste scheme.
And what about the brains behind the bras? Co-founders Faith Leeves and Cindy Liberman met four years ago, studying lingerie and swimwear design at London College of Fashion (oh hi fellow alumni!).The two bonded over an aspiration to live a sustainable lifestyle and a love of shopping with responsible brands.Faith grew up in Brighton, England with a passion for art, design and photography. And Cindy moved from Boston, USA to London at just 18. She has been sewing since age 8, when her Grandmother taught her about garment construction.
