Worldwide Breast Cancer has come up with an incredible way to spread the message of how to spot the signs of breast cancer in ourselves. It turns out that 1/3 of breast cancer deaths could be prevented with early diagnosis. But lots of factors such as taboo, knowledge and illiteracy contribute to this statistic.
The goal was to come up with a design that could be used globally to raise awareness, while being easy to understand for those less literate and featuring familiar imagery without confusing medical jargon. The tool features award-winning visuals from the #knowyourlemons campaign which has already educated 5 million people in 70 countries and 15 languages.
You too can be part of this global campaign by becoming a Global Education Partner. Sign up to download the leaflet, donate and share with friends to help others identify breast cancer symptoms sooner.
Here are some of the images from the campaign. If every woman in the world could see the #knowyourlemons campaign, imagine how different the global picture of breast cancer would be!
